BMX Complete Bike Sizing Info

When it comes to choosing the right BMX there's loads of options to pick from; price / components / brands / colours etc. But, one of the best ways to ensure you enjoy riding your bike is to get the right size.

BMX companies generally use two measurements, the wheel and the length of frame both of which are listed in inches. 20" is the standard and original BMX wheel size but there are plenty of variations available from 12" upwards. The second measurement is the length of the frame, commonly known as TT =  top tube.

Below is our guide to sizing based on the height of the rider. Sizes naturally overlap as personal preference plays a role and a good thing to consider is giving  at least 1” - 2” (2.5cm - 5cm) clearance between the top tube and the riders crotch when they’re standing over the bike flat footed.
